Description

A play by Anna Agulló Prieto, the playwright, director and in turn performer of the show, which emotionally strips the yearnings and disappointments of the millennial generation. A raw, shocking – and at times funny – journey to madness narrated in first person, and a fierce defence of life via art.

Work, work some more, succeed, consume, show off, don’t get fat, find the ideal love, let yourself be mauled, don’t get sick… and so on until the emotional detonation of the millennial generation.

El peix daurat has seized me, dragged me, anticipated my every step. I have no doubt that it is the story I was meant to tell. I want you to come with me on a wonderful and terrible journey, to feel with me the uttermost happiness and the deepest sorrow, to discover, as I do, what experiences can lead us to madness, this shattering of the shared reality. And I also want us to all laugh together! There is nothing I want more than to take this story as far as I can, not because it’s mine but because I honestly believe that it speaks about all of us and that everyone can recognise themselves at some point. I want to show you my soul in order to caress yours.
