Description
Èric is sixteen years old and this fact is surprising: "How can I be so young and feel so deeply exhausted?" This is what he thinks tonight as he watches TV with his sneakers on and his phone on his belly. In a few minutes you will receive a message: "Come now. If you want to say goodbye to dad, you must come now."
Crítics Award 2024 to the best play to Joan Yago.
Serra d'Or Critics Arward in performing arts 2024 to the best drama show.
Director Glòria Balañà and playwright Joan Yago bring us closer to the experience of illness and death from the eyes of a teenager. The loss of a father coinciding with the moment of identity construction and the discovery of the relentless rules of the world. Memories, projects, difficult conversations and, above all, conversations that we can no longer have. Friends, family (which really means being family) and also the unfathomable abyss of everything that will happen from now on. On stage, a night trip through the city, a desperate race to get there in time, a stormy but deeply human and light-filled fragment of life.
Among other productions, Glòria Balañà i Altimira has directed Els ossos de Montaigne (Premis Barcelona 2020 - Grec 2022 grant), Decadència (finalist to the Premis Teatre Barcelona to the Best Direction 2019), Les cadires (2016) and El setè cel (2014).
Joan Yago, a founding member of La Calòrica, has written plays such Feísima enfermedad y muy triste muerte de la Reina Isabel I (2010 and 2020), Sis personatges – homenatge a Tomás Giner (Critics Award for Best Playwriting/Adaptation of 2018) and De què parlem mentre no parlem de tota aquesta merda? (Barcelona Theatre Awards 2021 for Best Theatrical Performance and Best Original Authorship, and Max 2022 Award for Best Actress to Mónica López).
