"IT'S NOT ART UNLESS IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A DISASTER"
(Banksy)

A famous phrase by the street artist Banksy provides the inspiration for the project that the artist Magda Puig has undertaken this year with the students at the Joan Fuster secondary school in Barcelona.

They started work on 19 September, and are continuing the project via WhatsApp every week, despite the pandemic and the lockdown.

You can see their work in various sessions over four Mondays, and on the fifth they will make a final presentation of the whole project.

EN RESiDÈNCiA [IN RESIDENCE] is a programme by the Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB) and the Barcelona Education Consortium (CEB), with the involvement of the Teatre Lliure, which aims to introduce contemporary artistic creation to secondary schools by placing the students in direct and continuous contact with an artist.

The creative process involving Magda Puig IN RESIDENCE at the Joan Fuster secondary school is part of the Carlota Soldevila programme of grants for creative output .
