Description
Josep Maria Mestres brings to the stage the award-winning play by the playwright Matthew López, premiered in 2018 and considered by critics as the most important American play of the century.
This show consists of two parts that can be seen on alternate days, or followed in marathon format (and special prices) on weekends.
What is it like to be a young gay man in New York one generation after the peak of the AIDS crisis? How many ways can we say grief and love?
This work by Matthew López, freely inspired by E. M. Forster’s wonderful novel Howards End, reflects on what we owe those who lived and loved before us and asks us about our responsibility to future generations. It is a two-act play on transmissions and legacies, an epic, fun, political, sensual, moving play.
Evening Standard Theatre Award 2018 to the best play; Critics' Circle Theatre Award 2018 to the best new play, best actor and best direction; Laurence Olivier Award 2019 to the best new play, best actor, best direcció and best lighting design, and South Bank Sky Arts Theatre Award 2019.
