Description
From the Argentine choreographer Marina Otero arrives the third installment of the project Recordar para vivir. A terribly moving piece about madness for love, in the Dansa Metropolitana 2025 festival.
Four dancers with mental disorders, the grace of Vaslav Nijinsky and life itself as a punk story. Shall we talk about lovesickness?
Kill Me (2024) is the continuation of Love Me (2022) and Fuck Me (2020) and is now part of the Remember to Live project, in which I set out to present different versions of works until the day I die. Enmeshed the cliché of the mid-life crisis, I began to film everything I did: I recorded it with an open heart 24 hours a day, until one day I collapsed, was given a psychiatric diagnosis and decided to draw from it to make my next work. I invited four dancers with mental disorders and Nijinski to make a work that would talk about lovesickness. But we can say that the topic is actually mental health, because that fits within the art market’s inclusive agenda. After all, this is my fate: having to make works that people come to so I can survive in the world (of theatre).
