Pau Carrió is back with Shakespeare. This time, he is directing the ill-fated story of General Macbeth, who is dazed by an encounter with three malign beings and enters a spiral of ambition and tragic destruction. Machinations, power and tragedy.

Macbeth and Banquo are generals serving King Duncan of Scotland. They come upon three witches who prophesy that Macbeth will become the thane of Glamis and Cawdor and will end up king, and that Banquo will beget kings. Shortly thereafter, Macbeth discovers that he has indeed been named the thane of Cawdor, a revelation which leads him to believe the rest of the prophecy. When King Duncan takes advantage of this to honour Macbeth by visiting him at Dunsinane castle, both he and his wife realise that the time has come to carry out a plot to murder him and thus gain the power for which he is apparently fated. But fate and magic spells have their own laws.
