The director Carlota Subirós is proposing an emotional journey around the birth of vocation, the theatre as a meeting place and the importance of referents, starting from the mythical LP Paco Ibáñez en el Olympia and the space of the Lliure de Gràcia.

On 2 December 1969, Paco Ibáñez, a young Valencian man raised in Euzkadi and son of exiled in France, gave a concert at the Olympia theatre in Paris which became a historic night and a symbol of the anti-Franco left. Seven years later, on 2 December 1976, in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, runs the first performance of the Teatre Lliure, a project charged with immense energy unleashed after the death of the dictator, and quickly becomes the standard of a way of living and understanding theatre. Today, the superposition of a single day in December 1969 and 1976 reverberates with significant force and raises new questions. Where is Olympia for each of us? Is it a place from the past or a dream from the future? Or is it a living experience of the present? Where is this meeting place in which we can share wishes, dreams, referents?
Carlota Subirós
