The director Ferran Utzet is proposing a version of the mythical Our Town by the American playwright Thornton Wilder, which won the 1938 Pulitzer Prize for theatre, a metaphysical piece on what it means to be human.

In a theatre, the Stage Manager introduces the audience to the rural town of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire (USA) and its inhabitants: the Gibbs and Webb families, who are neighbours, and especially Emily Webb and George Gibbs, who soon fall in love and marry. The play follows the changes in this couple’s life over the course of 12 years, from the mundanity of devastation to romanticism, in a microcosm of the life cycle that is, in the words of the playwright Edward Albee, ‘the best American play ever written’.
