Description
No tots els ocells viuen als arbres is an adaptation from An Enemy of the People, one of the most famous social-commentary plays by the Norwegian dramaturg Henrik Ibsen. Premiered in 1883, the main character is Thomas Stockmann, a doctor and scientist who discovers that the water in a spa baths which serve as the entire village’s livelihood is contaminated. He wants to warn everyone, but he faces a dilemma: what comes first, truth and public health, or maintaining the economic system and therefore remaining silent or lying? And in a capitalist system like ours, are there always boundaries between the common good, the economy, individual responsibility and the truth?
